Fan Control Knob

Fan Control ****
My Fan Control Switch works in the 1, 2, 3, and 4 positions but not #5. Any idea what this could be and can I fix it as a somewhat novice mechanic? Thanks

RE: Fan Control ****
its the resistor module under the glovebox area.
about $30 for the part.
Mine is doing the same thing- just not that important to have # 5 blowing- so I have not fixed it/
theres a HOW TO on trailvoy.com

RE: Fan Control ****
Pull the controls out and test for 12 volts on the orange wire in connector C2, pin F
If you have 12 volts, then I would agree with rbarrios that it is the resistor. If not, then the control unit is bad

2003 Trailblazer blower fan only works on 4
Ist problem. Over the last year or so the blower for the a/c and heater has gone from 75% working to only working on #4. It used to work on 2,3, and 4. Now it is only #4 and with winter a few months away I would like to see if I could do this myself.
2nd problem. Window control for driver (locks and windows) doesn't work. all other windows work at each door and window. Master control is not working.
3rd problem. I have a one broken post on the front passenger tire. Broke off just enough so the lug nut will not screw on. Easy fixes or not?
