Default Fuel Issue

Need Help Please.

Just bought a 2005 Trailblazer LS. A beautiful ride except for the fuel issue. The fuel guage reads empty and the low fuel light is on. Went to the gas station and could not add any gas, none. It acts like the fuel tank is completely full, right up to the gas cap.

How do I correct this. Is the fuel right up to the cap, is the fuel guage broken, is the vent tube clogged?

Please help,
Thanks in advance,
Harley

There was a problem with the gauges in 2003 to 2006 GM cars and trucks. If it won't take gas then it must be full. Only you can answer that question. As for the gauge the stepper motors for all 6 gauges were faulty in those years and that could be your problem. A faulty sending unit on your fuel pump could also be the problem.
