My Trailblazer was hit on the driver's side rear right where my gas tank is located. Now, my gas refill needle no longer works. My husband doesn't want to try to fix it because he is convinced it will involve removing the gas tank and it'll be expensive. Is this true? Does anyone happen to know what exactly needs to be replaced and the expense, approximate figure. Thanks!

 

What year is your Trailblazer? From 2003 to 2006 there was a problem with the stepper motors in the gauge cluster. So your problem could be either the stepper motor or the sending unit on the fuel pump. If your husband can do the work himself then it isn't too bad in cost. If he can't then it will be expensive.
