I was able to drive my SUV for the first time since Jan 1. When I took off on the main road it sounded like something broke. I drove on but it would not shift unless I took my foot off the gas each time. Coming home it didn't go into drive. Is this going to cost a lot of money? I plan on checking fluids in the morning. It is my only vehicle and I on a fixed budget. The reason it wasn't driven is because it would drain the battery. The cable to the starter was off causing a drain and a double ground. Been fixed and now this.
