2004 chevy trailblazer ext with v6 engine 202,000 miles

This sounds like an ignition switch problem which is common on this platform.

definitely check for you powers and grounds first, was big issue, also if that checks out the gm vehicles had major issues with the cluster failing. many company's rebuild them. southernelectronics.com , myairbag.com

The mains power ground for the dash is on the passenger side hump just below the cup holder, the rug just needs to be pulled back and there are multiple grounds going to a single 10 mm bolt. this needs to be very clean. Disconnect battery prior to removing the bolt to clean it up. Good place to start troubleshooting

12.6 volts is not enough to charge the battery. It should be near 14 volts. The gauge could be wrong. I had an 03 Trailblazer and had to replace the speedometer stepper motor, so I changed all six stepper motors. If you can solder, you can do it yourself. Although you probably still have an electrical problem.

Is this running or after sitting after a few? Cause if it was running or just turned off it should be in the upper 13's lower 14's

I'm having a similar issue with my 03. I deliver mail out of it. So yesterday, about halfway through my route, my gauges quit and a bunch of lights lit up. When this happens my AC stops blowing cold air, and my locks, Windows and radio stop. I previously owned another trailblazer that would do the same thing and I could smack the dash and everything would come back on. Same thing with this one. Also, when the gauges go off, it starts running poorly. Could this be a ground wire? And how do I check those?
Thanks!

If it happens again try wiggling the ignition switch , these have been known to cause all kinds of issues with the dash or you have a crack on the cluster board which means replacement or rebuilding it .
