Need Help w/ A/C 2006 Trailblazer please
Currently the driver side is blowing warm and the passanger is cool not cold. I've consulted several forums but no body seems to have the same symptoms.
Here is a list of actions taken so far.....
1. Water pump replaced- (viscous clutch on radiator fan not cooling engine compartment enough on models before June 05)
My TB was produced in Aug 05. Could I have damaged during water pump replacement? Are they sensitive? It is plugged in and wasn't dropped.
Approx week or two before A/C problems arise. Read in forums where over heat of A/C would cause freon blowoff to release high pressure in system. (possible account for some of #3 questions)
2. Replaced interior HVAC controls, low pressure sensor on canister/drier.
Checked relays through swapping with like kind method under hood.(same number relay type controls highbeams which worked when swapped and didn't swap back to eliminate possible over sensitivity)
3. A. Low pressure switch replaced, still no A/C, jumpered leads to see compresser will start, advised to check freon level. Taken to professional. System evac, pulled vaccuum, replaced with proper amount of freon for EXT w/ rear HVAC.
Cooler air, not cold as I though it should be, nor did the volume of air coming out of the vents seem normal, but I assumed I was expecting to much.
B. If the system was experiancing freon blowoff this would be logical that it would hold a vaccuum and could also be low on freon before we started.
C. Battery replaced here.
D. Compresser running as normal.
4. One day later back to warm on driver and less cool on passenger. Returned to A/C service shop, re-verified A/C pressures. Read forums more. Read about blend doors. Tried both the #36 fuse removal and the negative terminal battery-off method of resetting the actuators. Much improved air volume from vents but no cold air.
5. Under hood I can hear a click near the canister/ drier from the firewall area as if a relay or switch is turning on or off. As this happens the compresser will cycle on and off with the clicks.
Don't know where to go from here.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.
