No start! No crank! Multiple codes!
Okay get ready for some stressful stuff!! At least for me!
So 4 days ago I shut off the trailblazer for about 20 minutes went to turn on ..turned the key twice and it had no crank. The third time started up. This has occurred often in the last few months ive owned it. Later that day i went to start it and NOTHING. The past four days i have diagnosing with a no start amd watching multiple videos. I have been told my starter might be bad for the following reason...
i have attempted to jump it from the relay (got a new one and didnt make a difference) ..all i got was a constant buzz of the relay until i let off ..which happened yesterday..today when i tried it ..it engaged the everything like it was put in the START position but the key was already in the start position. Nothing from the starter. I have also attempted to jump straight from the starter. The first time the starter rolled over but did NOT fully engage (to the flywheel) or crank the vehicle at all. Attempted it again and nothing.
Heres the confusion. I have gotten multiple different codes the past 4 days BUT never at the same time or repeated the same code..
P1120 P1220 P1221 P1215 & P1515.
I have searched these and they all come up as codes related to different parts of the throttle body. I then cleaned the throttle body, battery terminals, all grounds i could find, and the MAP sensor, TB sensor and MAF sensor. Charged the battery two different times in the last 4 days.
HERES THE NEXT CONFUSION. FIVE days ago..my blower motor went out and will not come on at all..the past month it would work most the time randomly wouldnt. The day after was when this all started. I had found a fuse in the rear driver side fuse box that blew. Found it was fuse #40 i believe which is the TRUCK BODY CONTROLLER 4 fuse. I went to replace it and it shocked me ..as well as instantly blowing the fuse. I tried again today after leaving the battery unhooked for several hours and it did it again.
NOW LASTLY ..i bought a 2nd ignition switch replacement yesterday i realised today it was within the right clicks but slightly off ..so i pulled the switch out of the slot (not unhooking the sensor from it) placed the teeth to where they need to be ..put it back in and now while in start position the only warning lights that come on are the security and battery light. The lite up informational light with odometer reading and PRND lights come up as well as the radio and heater like normal BUT when i turn on the headlights ALL lights dissapear. I am at a loss. I have had multiple people try and help and nobody really knows. All of today i havent been able to pull any codes either after erasing them last night. Looking to pick up another ignition switch tomorrow but really dont know whats going on here. This is my first chevy and need this thing running asap for work. Thanks to yall in advance!
