Default REar Electrical Issues

This sounds like it could be ugly.

Recently, the tailgate lock stopped functioning. (I can hear a recurring "click", but the door does not lock. If I open it after the other doors are locked the alarm triggers.

Along with the I noticed that ...
1. The rear defogger does not work.
2. The rear wiper does not work.
3. The left-rear window (cargo area/third row) does not work.

From reading this and other forms, I could try
- replacing the batteries in the remote keys
- adding water to the battery

An electrical schematic could be helpful, because I fear that this is a circuitry problem and the geniuses that call themselves Mr Goodwrench will charge me alot of money and either take forever to find the problem or not find it at all.

Any suggestions?

the rear fogger and wipers not working.
sounds like a broken wire in the wires that go from the body- to the tailgate.
over time one of the wires will break INTERNALLY.. so the wires may look ok from the outside- but the wire in the inside is broken. these wires are covered by a rubber cover.
open your tailgate and look up- youll see what im talking about..
another thing that could be it--- is that the Remote Keyless entry module is in the tailgate. those give problems sometimes.
