Rough engine @ 1500-2000 rpm

Rough engine @ 1500-2000 rpm
Hi.
I own and 2003 Trailblazer with the 4.2L engine.
It idles smooth, but as the engine rpm increases from 1500-2000 rpm, the engine runs rough. Once past 2000 rpm, it smooths out.
It has new coils and plugs.
Any ideas why it's rough in that rpm range?
