I have a 2005 Trailblazer LS 4.2L motor. I was having any issue with shifting out of 2nd gear so the truck would not get above 40MPH, it was just rev up when it was time to change to 3rd gear. The check engine light was on so I pulled the codes and it came back that I needed a speed sensor. I replaced the speed sensor and now the truck is shifting out of 2nd and will get up to speed. The only issue is, i find that it still revs up before switching certain gears and in order for it to change I let off of the gas then press the gas again and it shifts. The truck has been sitting for a while before I changed the speed sensor, I checked the trans fluid and its fine. The instrument cluster however is bad, The temp gauge and battery gauge gets stuck. Anything else I could try?

Try clearing the codes which were occuring prior to fix.
