Default tire pressure sensor issues - diagnosing

2008 Trailblazer.
Trying to diagnose / reset tpms to get the light to turn off.
Everything seems to be fine until about 90 secs into testing tires.
Park brake on. 4 clicks to parking light spot. 2 beeps....
By process of elimination the 1st tire to cause a beep if front passenger, then I go to rear driver it beeped, then rear passenger it beeped.
When I get to front driver it seems to not beep and we are noticing the flashing tire light goes solid at around the 1 in 20 sec mark. (manuals say it times out at 5 min or if it goes solid to start all over).
We've been starting over and getting the same results everytime. Even keep pumping up the tires so they are not so low during testing.
Any ideas?

I had trouble as well, and ended up buying a TPMS tool for $8.

The sensors have batteries in them, so that could be dead too.
