I have a 2003 Trailblazer and when I floor it from a stop, it won't break the rear tires loose in 2wd. It also delays kicking down into passing gear. When started cold and I get out to scrape windows or whatever, I smell a foul odor like gas or something. Has anyone else experienced this or is it normal? Thanks

 

I have an 2003 trailblazer. I think the automotive tech thought I was wacko I smell sulfur very bad strong that's the only way I can describe it almost like when you strike a match. I had a 1997 grand prix gt and it smelled the same way they said it was a upper plunium( not sure of the spelling) some kind of gasket I guess had to do with my cooling system.

 

If it smells like sulphur I would say the catalytic converter might be partially plugged .
