Default Trailblazer rear defroster not working

This is my first post.
I have a 2005 trailblazer LS and my rear defroster is not working. I've diagnosed the problem being in the window with what little knowledge I have. But there aren't any complete breaks in the lines just thin spots. Any thoughts and guidance would be thoroughly appreciated

With a multimeter. Getting 12v on every line all the way across

so you're getting 12V where there should be 0V. That means that there is no path to ground.

Are you checking both sides of each one?

positive and negative.
Negative on cars is called ground.
So check the tab, the wire, and where the wire is attached to the body.
