Trans cooler, how install fitting adaptor?
I'm installing a big trans cooler on my '04 Envoy for towing purposes.
I bought a Hayden #397 Transmission Line Fitting Kit so I won't have to cut the steel trans line to install. There are no instructions how to install the 2" long adaptor. One end clearly fits into the trans line fitting at the bottom of the radiator, but there is no connector (with the spring) on it. Does the stock connector piece stay on the trans line meaning I'd have to buy a new one, or can I take it off and put it on the adaptor? The other end is obviously where the new rubber line slides over the barb.
NEVER MIND, I FORGOT THAT THE PART THAT THE SPRING "E" CLIP, CLIPS INTO IS PART OF THE RADITOR FITTING. ONLY SHOULD GET A NEW CLIP
