so I have a 2002 trailblazer, and the other night, somehow my wife broke the transmission line, while driving home. By the time I got to her, and got the Truck towed home all the fluid was gone. The next day I replaced the entire line and refilled the fluid with about 7 Quarts of fluid. Now I start the vehicle and it goes in to drive or reverse, travels a few feet and then just stops and just idles higher when we hit the gas pedal. Any suggestions on what to try to get this thing moving again?

 

sounds like it's not full enough of fluid ! let it sit and idle and than check the fluid ! sounds like the fluid pumped out of the torque converter ! the converter holds the most fluid !

 

I was thinking the same thing Bandit, but was also thinking that 7 Quarts was plenty. Guess I should check the requirement for my vehicle and try again to check the fluid in idle. Thanks
