TrailBlazer2002-2009
2023-
The TrailBlazer, originally introduced as an upscale Blazer, was produced from 2002 to 2008 with a powerful I6 engine and with a monster V8 offered in the Trailblazer SS
Platform: GMT 305, 360, & 370.
2005 Chevy Trailblazer LS 4wd What is this hose? And what issues would it cause if it became disconnected? Also, what would cause it to go into limp mode P0107, P0171, P0455, P0014. 242,000 miles. What's my prognosis? I've had this vehicle for 3 years and trying to make it last as long as possible. Was leaking oil not sure why. Just changed the oil yesterday and have not drove it since. Really trying to make this vehicle last at least another year. Any info help, Thanks!
pic is to far out.
where does the hose connect...both ends.
if its to the resonator box one one side and the valve cover pcv system on the other...it will create a vacuum leak that will create drivablity problems...lean fuel trim and maf codes.
connect it and clear the codes with a scan tool. post back what codes reset.
The hose you are asking about is the PCV system hose. NOTE - there is no PCV valve. For more information on the PCV system and how to take care of it, please visit - https://www.trailvoy.com/threads/upd.../#post-1647550
The P0107 DTC is telling you there is a problem with the MAP sensor's circuit. Please visit the following website for more information on how to diagnose the problem - https://troubleshootmyvehicle.com/gm...p-sensor-tests
The P0171 DTC is letting you know that the engine is running too lean. This could be related to the malfunction of the MAP circuit. There could also be a vacuum leak.
The P0455 DTC is letting you know that there is a large air leak in the EVAP system. This DTC could also be related to both the P0107 and P0171 DTCs. Check to make sure that the gas cap is properly seated and check the EVAP hoses and valves to make sure they are intact and not broken. I would also inspect the fuel tank filler neck to make sure that it is not rusting out.
The P0014 DTC is telling you that there is a problem with the Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid (also know as a VVT solenoid) circuit. First make sure the engine oil level is full. Next, check the wiring to the VVT solenoid and make sure that it is intact. Then remove the electrical connector to the VVT solenoid to make sure engine oil is not running out of it. If engine oil is running out of the end of the VVT solenoid, then it needs to be replaced. Preferred brands are GM Genuine/ACDelco, Standard Motor Products (non T series), Delphi, NAPA Echlin, or BWD (non P series). If the electrical is OK, and the VVT solenoid is not leaking oil, you might want to remove the VVT solenoid and inspect it for dirt and grunge covering the metal screens. Here is some additional information on testing the VVT solenoid - https://troubleshootmyvehicle.com/gm...solenoid-tests
Did you find the source of the oil leak? You might want to look at the oil pressure sending unit/switch which is located right above where the oil filter is screwed on.
