Default XM Radio?

I just purchased an '04 Trailblazer and the radio is XM compatible. I already have a Sirius subscription. Since the two merged, would I be able to get a Sirius signal through the XM receiver?

No. XM and Sirius still have different transponders and some different channels. The receivers are different.
I'm not sure but you may be able to call XM or Sirius and see if you can get the additional XM subscription added to your current Sirius subscription for the additional $6.95/mo instead of paying another $14.95/mo

you can purchase the gm-1 sirius kit online and it works great... the radio will say xm but it is really sirius. It plugs in factory where you would put the xm receiver... A little trick... run the antenna under dash and come up center on the dashboard... then velcro the antenna to the dash and you have a clean install without cutting thru the windshield.

Instead of running the antenna to the dash, just use the factory antenna. XM or Sirius.....they work both ways
