I have a 2009 Traverse and the rear liftgate does not close completely on the left side and it makes a loud noise when opening and closing. When it opens it makes a very load bang once it reaches its fully open position.

Is this a new occurrence? How long has this been happening? Have you had the chance to take the vehicle in for an inspection?
