door will not close
I need help. i was closing the door on my 2000 tahoe but it just hits the post but will not even come close to closing. It appears the "C" part in the door is turned and it doesn't marry up to the post on the door frame. It gets worse. I tried screwdrivers and anything else to get it to turn. Nothing. So I go to the passenger door and look at that one. Sure enough I got that one not to close either. I just flipped up the "C" or "U" part on the door and it will not return to it's normal position. I am sure there is a way around this, but I cannot figure it out. Tying the doors closed with rope isn't cutting it here in the snow. Your help is appreciated.

RE: door will not close
Try pulling on either the inside or outside handle like you were trying to open the door (to release the latch) and at the same time, move the latch to the open position. Then release the handle. You should be able to close the door.
