Default 2012 Traverse service air bag on dash

Dash says service air bag , no DTC codes, checked with odb2 scanner and there are no codes.

Any advice on how to check this / what to do?

that the scanner is junk and won't read SIR codes, if service airbag is displayed there WILL BE codes.

x2
you need a full function scan tooooooooool to read body codes and then
you need an airbag load tool to diagnose it. if you know what you are doing you can make your own load tool. SIR repairs are best left to a professional.

did you get any recall notices for the passenger presence system? If not call your dealer and provide your vin.
