hi
was driving home today (cold temp outside) cruising along about 40mph when it felt like the engine just died.
Pulled over, switched the car off, started it up again.
It will idle. But I can’t rev the engine in either park or neutral.
Dash is saying Service traction control and engine power is reduced.
Anyone got any experience of this??

It’s currently minus 12 centigrade and on star say it’s at least another hour before a tow truck will arrive.

Simple solution get rid of it and get a lexus, neighbor had equinox had to put new engine in it. Used lexus light years ahead of any chevy.

 

Engine power reduced is what is causing that . That will have to be diagnosed .
