2018 traverse dash removal
I’m trying to find a video to help me remove my dash so I can fix my ac. I can’t find one that is helpful. I need to replace the evaporator, dryer, and expansion valve. I appreciate any help.
Shouldn’t a 2018 still be under warranty??
I can’t help you with a video, but basically, the dash needs to come out as a unit. If you remove the trim from the ends of the dash and center console, you’ll see a metal framework - it’s the primary bolts and supports for that framework (instrument panel carrier) that have to be removed to pull the dash out and access the HVAC housing. You’ll have to remove pretty much all the dash trim, steering column, center console, and both front seats to do it.
If you want a specific, step by step procedure, you can buy a service manual (factory or aftermarket such as Chilton or Haynes) or get a temporary subscription to all data, Mitchell/pro demand, identifix, or other service info provider.
