Heater/AC controls problem
Hi folks, new here.
I have a problem with my 2009 Traverse. I have owned it since mid 2010 and we really like the car. We have had a few issues with it but overall been a good car, it has never stranded us so the minor issues do not bother me.
The problem I am having is heat-A/C controls are acting up. I have the LT model with basic single temp zone controls and non digital.
If the temp **** is turned to full cold and A/C is on it is great. But, if we have a cold morning and turn the temp **** to warm, sometime randomly the heating element does not turn off even after you rotate the **** back to a cold temp setting.
I assumed it was the temperature control head unit which is in the center dash and has the 3 round ***** for fan speed, temperature control and vent position selector as well as the rear air button and the recirculate button. I bought that unit and swapped it out...no change. I got under the dash and fount that even when my A/C was in full cold temp, fan on high, and recirc was on the small electric heating element under the dash was still on.
Is there some other switch or relay etc.. that id not disengaging?
