Incident that concerns me
Drove my new traverse out of town for the first time since buying it 48 hours ago. Got in the car to go home and could not turn the key. Steering wheel wouldnt turn. Called the salesman at the dealership he said to jerk the wheel a few times and see if it would let the key turn. It did. But Im still pissed. Never ever had a GM or Chevrolet problem like this. If its going to be an on going problem then weve got a problem to correct ASAP.

Don't blame Chevy. All cars with the steering wheel lock do this. If you turn it off with the wheels in a turned position and the steering wheel turning back to center this will happen.

2010 Traverse in shop for a week for injector stuck open and dump gas in engine. GM can not give the dealer an answer as to when replcement injectors will be available My Service request 71-1149976505. Seems GM not reliable in getting a timely answer. If this is the best service GM can offer last GM buying.

Well finally got word, got one injector and still need one more. told have to wait on manufacture and from rep, " They also told me the other one was you know it's in the process of being manufactured again being shipped. However, they don't have any TA on it last and for I guess said within the next week or so." Why is the buck passed down hill were the local rep has not much to do with manufacture? Twenty years ago I work as a Caterpillar truck engine parts and service rep for some 55 dealers. If I had a problem with parts I had an answer for the customer in HOURS not DAYS like GM. Also part was next day air for the customer. All had to make a couple calls and once even took a call to the VP of Caterpillar world wide parts distribution! But aways got the parts in a timely manner. Caterpillar even makes the commitment that if need to will ship from the assembly line, even if it has to shut the line down to take care of the customer.
Now far cry from GM's commitment. What assureance do I have with the other 4 injectors now? Thank God it did not fail on our vacation....

@First Traverse: I had a Mazda MX6 (same as a Ford Probe pretty much) I used to drive do that to me a couple of times. The front wheels on mine were turned slightly uphill and in a bit of a bind against the locked steering wheel. Not really anything to worry about unless it happens all the time and on level ground.
