Off-road
Much less ground clearance, no transfer case with lower gearing, did I mention less ground clearance, etc. It is not quite a Sport vehicle, and not quite a utility vehicle - more like a mini-van on a heavy steroid regimen IMHO.
Don't get me wrong - I traded in my '05 Silverado Crew Cab Z71 4WD for this 2010 Traverse - maybe I'm just getting old, but I REALLY like driving the Traverse!!

I just read a PM comparison in which they actually took some CUVs offroad in the sand. Traverse did well
until the AWD clutch got hot from cycling and stopped locking in the rear wheels.
Once it cooled down it worked fine. Looks like someone out there could (or maybe has)
develop a chip or a bypass switch that would keep the clutch engaged in off-road driving. Then it would be a suitable off road driver from the results of the article. Anyone heard of such a mod?
