Recommended Automatic Transmission Fluid
Rock Auto offers two versions of Dexron VI for use in my 2016 Chevrolet Traverse: P/N 88865601/10-9394 (Non-Synthetic) and P/N 88865549/10-9243 (Synthetic).
Which should I go with, the non-synthetic or the synthetic?

synthetic is what you get from the factory.
Im really picky about trans fluid. You need it to have the same friction co-efficient of the oem fluid. I only use oem trans fluid cause i know it made for this trans. Aftermarket fluid may be made for a variety of manufactuers so be smart with the brand you pick.

I thought all dex 6 was synthetic. This page says 88865601 is synthetic and I’m reading that the other part number is discontinued.
