2019 Traverse. Trying to sync the garage opener but having trouble. Instructions say hold both the hand held opener and the car opener buttons at the same time. red light will blink slow and when the light blinks fast then syncing is complete. My issue is that right from the get go the light is blinking fast. If I hold it long enough the light will stair to blink slow and then fast again but it still is not syncing. any other steps or advise i am missing? Thanks in advance!

 

I had to set mine up to the door opener like I was setting up a new remote. When trying to use the remote that came with the opener to program your vehicle it would not work for me. My opener has a learn button on it press it then hold the button on the vehicle in until lights blink. Hope this helps

 

I tried both ways myself, even cleared the system. Tried it about 4 times each way. Just gave up and use remote.
