2017 Trax Rear Impact Bar replacement
We own a 2017 Trax LS. After a recent accident in which one of our car was pushed into the back of our trax, the rear impact bar was cracked and bent. To save on repair costs, we are looking at doing it ourselves. Am I correct in assuming that I should be good to simply remove the bumper, unbolt the rear impact bar, and bolt on a new one?
Right now, I am planning on purchasing:
This replacement impact bar
and
these bolts
based off of
This diagram
Does anyone have the proper torque spec for these bolts, and is there any further consideration or steps I am missing?
