So I bought my Trax used in March of 2019. It had 17,000 miles on it, it now has 28,000 miles on it I havent even had it 2 years it now has 26,000 miles on it. It is garaged and sat in the closed garage for 2 months because I had open heart surgery and couldn't drive it. NOW I go out in the garage to vacuum it and I though somehow there was a leaf on the hood. Well it certainly wasn't and it was on both sides. I cant afford to get the vehicle painted. What do I do?
yeah... professional hood repaint in my area is probably $800. Unless you can get a colour matched hood at the wrecker i don't see any other option. Not sure what the factory paint warranty expiry is? Contact a dealer with a bodyshop and ask them. If you are within factory waranty have them look at it.
I have been speaking with Chevy customer care for a couple weeks now because I’m having the same issue, it started on my hatch a year ago and now peeling on my hood. While talking to them today I asked if there were a lot of complaints on this issue with the blue Chevy trax, I was told there were not. Please take a moment to contact Chevy customer care and open a case about your issue, if there are a bunch of complaints they are likely to issue a recall. Thank you!
