Got a p0449 DTC on my 07 uplander. (wife's) plus to top it off the fuel level sending unit is out of calibration. 1\4 of gas empty... hated having to learn that for the first time, 2:00 in the morning on US 59N about a mile north of Houston. YAY lets sit on the road with my wife and 8 month old son in, lets call it, a dark part of town. Now the 449 is a evap solenoid which is located on TOP of the gas tank... Thank you GM... good news is i get to knock out 2 birds with 1 stone. got to pull the tank to service both those issues. I myself havent done either of these tasks. Anyone here familiar with the process? Ive gone over ALLDATA, Mitchell, and Identifix several times. they dont go into very much detail. Wish me luck.
