After market stereo cause problems?
I've done lots of Googling on the subject but I can't find any definitive answers so perhaps I can get them here.
I want to install a nice aftermarket CD/MP3 player in my 06 Uplander but I read/heard that removing the factory deck will cause issues with the security system. (such as causing the van's anti-theft to disable ignition and also the dvd player to not work, other electrical/computer issues)
Bottom line, if I take out my factory deck and replace it with my after market (a JVC KD-R620) am I going to run into any problems?
THANKS!
*EDIT*
Found the page I was talking about re: other electrical computer issues. http://www.2carpros.com/questions/20...plander-stereo says I will lose cruise control and power windows if I remove the deck. Any truth to that?
