aftermarket XM
I bought used and there was no satellite radio, so i bought an xm roady xt ($30) then the big question where to put it. I installed the baseplate on the overhead console, i didn't have anything up there anyway and it fits in nicely, all the power is on the blue connector and it's easy to fish in the antenna and the xm extra cable to the van's exterior antenna that give the best reception on the vans radio. It took about an hour, but the only drawback is, it's hard to see the xm radio display. But once you have your preselects programmed, you just use the remote to change channels.
My question is does anyone know where i could get a small prism, that i could super glue to the display, so it would be easier to read. The overhead is a good spot but since the xm radio can be moved from the baseplate and the display text can't be flipped a prism seems the best solution.
