Default Anyone know how to program a keyless remote?

I have been trying to program this remote i bought off amazon.
I can't seem to get the uplander into program mode.
holding unlock and turning the key 2x and letting go of the unlock button doesn't seem to work...

This is the tutorial I was using I dont see the Uplander listed. Anyone know of a different technique to get it into program mode?

Thanks.

Sorry to disappoint you, but there is no way to program the remote on the vehicle. You need to go to the GM dealer or some service place with GM ScanTool available.

any full function scan tool that can access the rcdlr can program a fob.

Yeah, a friend of mine had the same problem, and he went to a mechanic friend of his and the mechanic told him the same thing.
Must go to an official GM dealer because of the GM ScanTool.

new style fobs with the switch blade key must be programmed by the dealer but not anything for an uplander.

I can't speak for your friends mechanic but I have done my 2 gm products fobs with aftermarket and a gm tech2 scan tool. the gm dealership I worked at had both.

tech2 is correct. I've done mine with an universal scan tool, but don't remember the make and model. It was years ago.
