Conflicting Torque Information
Hello,
I am doing a few repairs on a 2008 Pontiac Montana sv6 (pretty much same as Uplander) and I purchased an online uplander PDF shop manual but it really doesn't have everything I am looking for. Further to that, when I search online I am getting conflicting values.
https://chevy-specs.com/cars/2008/up...pecs_front.php seems like a good site but the numbers don't jive with the manuals I downloaded . Even the different manuals have different values.
I am hoping there is a GM tech that can pull up the proper specs for me.
I need torque values for:
Front Lower control arm bolts + ball joint castle nut:
- Some say 37 ft-lbs which seems too low and some say 71 ft-lbs ans some say 107 ft lbs
- Some say 37 ft-lbs for ball joint and others say 22 ft-lbs
Front Axle Nut Torque:
- Some say 159 ft-lbs and some say 118
Caliper Bracket and slide pins:
- some say 96 ft.lbs for the bracket and some say 137 ft-lbs
Stabilizer Link( Sway bay link)
- Some say 48 ft-lbs and some say 17 ft-lbs
Any Help would be awesome.
