front end rattle SOLVED
Hello - New member here, just want to share a success story in hopes that it helps someone...2008 Uplander LS...47000 miles
Had a rattle in the front end going over bumps...sounded like something was about to fall off. Checked the obvious, swaybar end links, struts etc, everything looked good to me...I'm just a mechanic of the shade tree variety so I farmed it out to my local mechanic.
As it turned out the rattle I was hearing was the anti rattle clips on the front brake pads. I changed the brakes myself 2 years ago without a problem but recently they worked their way loose. Mechanic adjusted the clips on both sides and lubed the caliper pins again...no more rattle...The Uplander brakes are so good that it feels like you just threw an anchor out the back door but they certainly like to be serviced so its something to keep in mind.
Hope this helps someone with the same issue...
