Default Key Fob Doesn't Work - 2006 Uplander

How do you program a key fob on a 2006 Chevy Uplander?

I need the GM/L not the GM/UTA
I also can help wit a Nissan and Ford

Here is the GM/UTA way

Different keyless entry systems are used on General Motors vehicles. The
parts are not interchangeable even though the parts may appear to be
similar. Observe the back of the transmitter in order to properly identify
the system. On 2000 S/T pickups and utilities, use a transmitter identified
with GM/UTA preceding the part number.
With the driver door closed, hold down the power unlock button on the door
panel.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
Release the power unlock button on the door panel. The remote control door
lock receiver will respond in the following manner in order to indicate that
the receiver is in the programming mode:
Locking the doors
Unlocking the doors
Important
All extra transmitters must be programmed at this time. When a new
transmitter is programmed, the old transmitters will be deactivated.
Hold down the lock and unlock buttons on the transmitter until the remote
control door lock receiver will respond in the following manner:
Locking the doors.
Unlocking the doors.
Repeat step 7 for each additional transmitter.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position in order to exit the transmitter
programming mode.
In order to reprogram the remote control door lock transmitter with a scan
tool, refer to Scan Tool instructions.
Memory Seat Recall Programming
Adjust the driver seat to the desired position.
Press the switch labeled SET. A chime confirmation will be heard.
Press the desired position switch labeled 1 or 2. Within 5 seconds from
pressing the SET switch, a chime confirmation will be heard.
Press the UNLOCK button on the desired transmitter (key fob) within 5
seconds from pressing the SET switch. A chime confirmation will be heard.
The transmitter (key fob) is now programmed with the desired position
switch. Pressing the transmitter UNLOCK button will cause a recall request
to be initiated and the seat will adjust to position 1 or 2.
The stored memory positions may be changed without having to reprogram the
transmitter.
The transmitter feature is available in all ignition positions.
Memory Seat Recall Unprogramming
Press the switch labeled SET. A chime confirmation will be heard.
Press the UNLOCK button on the transmitter (key fob) within 5 seconds from
pressing the SET switch.
Do not press any memory switch or power adjustment for 5 seconds. Pressing a
switch will cancel the unprogramming event and the transmitter will remain
programmed.
The transmitter (key fob) is now unprogrammed and pressing the UNLOCK button
will not effect memory seat operation.
No chime confirmation will be heard when the UNLOCK button is pressed if the
transmitter is unprogrammed.

Here is what I have for the 2005, I hope it helps.
ZiL

1. Close and lock all doors with the driver’s side power lock/unlock switch.

2. Insert key into ignition and remove it from the ignition key cylinder at least six times within 10 seconds. Your Hazard Lamps will flash if you have performed this step successfully. ( Withdraw key completely from ignition cylinder each time ) . If this procedure is performed too fast, system will not enter programming mode.

3. Insert key into the ignition cylinder and turn to the ACC position.

4. Within 5 seconds, push ANY button on the keyless remote. Your Hazard Lamps should flash. ( Do not press the button more than one time in the above step). If the button is pressed more than one time, the programming procedure will not be successful.

5. If there are any remaining remotes (including the old ones), unlock then lock all doors using the driver’s side power lock/unlock switch and within 5 seconds, push ANY button on the next remote. Your Hazard Lamps should flash. Repeat this step for each keyless remote (including any existing keyless remotes).

6. Turn the key to the OFF position, remove keys from the ignition, unlock doors using the driver’s side power lock/unlock switch and open the driver side door.

Default Uplander 2005 FOB

Hi Zil. Could you help me with an idea how to program FOB for 2005 uplander?

I tried the one that's very general for most of GM. Press unlock - switch the key On/off twice (i tried 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 times - different combination), etc. This one doesn't work for me.

I also tried the one that you described with hazard lamps. Don't know why it's not working.

Do you have any other instructions?

Thank you.

Don't waste your time. There is no way to program FOB on this vehicle. GM ScanTool must be used for programming. Go to the dealer or find a local garage with proper equipment and knowledge.
