Default Key-less Entry Problem

My 2006 Chevrolet Uplander that I just bought won't lock or unlock using the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob. I can however unlock the van by pressing the automatic sliding door button on the remote for the passenger side. The passenger side sliding door works perfectly but the one on the driver side gets stuck halfway but I think that's an issue with the door which makes closing the door a real pain. I thought the key-less entry didn't work because my driver side sliding door didn't close properly but there is no Door Ajar light so all doors are closed which means they should lock and unlock using the key fob, right? Any thoughts on what I can try to fix this problem? Also, the remote start button on the key fob doesn't work either but I am not really worried about that right now; just wanted to throw that in to see if it helps. All replies are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The above suggestions work, I got a new rubber pad from amazon for less than $20 including shipping.

While i was waiting for these to arrive, I learned that if you hole punch aluminum foil and put it on the pad, it works.
hope this helps

Thank you all for your responses. I ended up ordering the Keyless Fix Pad that allenford recommended. Just received it yesterday and after trying it out all day today, it works great!
