Mods anyone?
Was wondering what you've done to your Uplander that it didn't come with when you bought it. Not that the Uplander is such a hot item that there are books filled with stuff for it but I've got to admit that GM could have made it into a winner if they had put the resources into it. I think they got a lot right when they designed it...
Ours is an LS model and we added an aftermarket roof rack since it looked funny without it and the price of the LT rack from the dealer was crazy. Also thinking about a trailer hitch for the bike rack I hitch to my Vue and one of those external cargo carriers for long trips.
What are you considering?

I'm not around here much but I've only done a few things like tint, replaced the cargo (2008) hubcap wheels w/the alloy 5 spoke OEMs, aftermarket sound system and remote start.
I'll be getting a PCM tune sometime soon and have considered an intake/exhaust upgrade (other past cars had full bolt ons/computer upgrades) though I believe I mic'd the b pipe at around 2.5" OD if I remember right, so I'm not sure it's worth much. I've read the G6 3.9 folks have gained around 10hp w/full exhaust and K&N reports a dyno gain of 5whp with their intake.
I've had bikes and cars modded and I'm not sure I'm willing to increase noise w/this daily driver this time, we'll see. Tune will happen for sure though.
I also plan to add a set of HID projectors (not the 'kits') this year. I have them on my Altima and they're awesome for night driving.
BTW, did your van come w/the roof rack side rails? My '08 Cargo came with nothing on top, unbelievable! There are very few aftermarket options and they're not cheap, consisting of the clamping variety.
I'm probably going to break down and remove the interior cargo cage, headliner/panels and try to snag a pair or OEM racks from a salvage yard at some point.

Cool! I really like the 3.9 motor and was hoping I would run into someone who was going to do some work on it. You can prob make some nice gains if you're willing to put the work into it. I don't know how much if anything I will do under the hood since its my wife's daily driver. Good move getting rid of the plastic hubcaps - we have the 5 spoke alloys too and I think they make it look so much better.
Ours is an LS passenger - it didn't come with the roof rails either. We bought it used in 2009 - it was formerly a rental vehicle and had 9000 miles. It looked weird without a roof rack, not that we ever used it on our other van, it was purely cosmetic I suppose. It just didn't look right without it. We had an aftermarket one put on, not a clamp on but permananetly installed like it would have been oem. Honestly its not quite as nice as the OEM one but they wanted a ton of $ at the dealer for the OEM one.
I've found that in my area its not easy to find any of these in the junk yard for parts since they weren't big sellers as far as I can tell.
Post back as you do your tune and any mods - would love to hear about your results!
