Default second row seats

our second row captains chairs did not have arm rests or a drink holder between them. we found the middle seat of the Chevy venture second row fit perfectly between our uplander captain chairs. I will upload a pic in a bit to show it with the third middle seat.

Here is a link to photos of our seats: https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resi...AtW7AULTu6yz_A

I just want to say thank you for sharing this information. I will be buying an uplander in the next couple of weeks, not that I know that I can install seating for 8. Once I get it done I'll share the results.

Is that applied for any year of uplander ? because I need 8 passengers van and I understood that Uplander is my best choice.

Word is that quality dropped between the Venture and Uplander (some even say earlier Venture's were better) so that actually might be the better choice, and it might also be easier finding one with all 8 seats in it. Sorry to say though I'll be keeping my Venture until the end of time.

If however you plan on towing things, a properly equipped might be Uplander may be better after all.

You didn't specify your use for the van besides seating for 8, another option would be an Express.

Dude, thanks for the post! I found myself in a similar situation with 2 adoptions and a birth all within weeks of each other making us a family of 8!
For all those looking to do this mod,
including how to cut the carpet and whatnot.
Best of luck to all looking to upgrade their Uplanders
