Transmission intermittently doesn't shift into gear
2007 Chevy Uplander
I just changed the driver side cv axle on my 07 Uplander. Prior to this repair, it has never had any issues with the transmission. Since this repair, the transmission is intermittently slipping and failing to go into gear, both forward and reverse. This seems to happen only when the engine is at operating temperature. When I first get in and Crank it up, it works fine. It will shift all the way through the gears and operate perfectly until the engine and transmission warm up to operating temperature. Then it slips a couple of times and then completely fails. If I pull it over to the side of the road and shut it off, when I restart it everything works fine again for a minute or so and then it quits. My thought is there must be an issue in the electronics. Anybody out there got any experience with this?
