Default Uplander - No Start Issue

My 2005 Uplander (89,000 miles) will not start. Getting the DIC message of "service theft system" and sometimes "staring disabled" when the key is on. Tried all 3 keys and still the same. All the status lights come on with the engine light when you try to start it.
Also have another issue in that the parking inidcator light on the dash will not go off even after the key is removed or in the off position. This drains the battery so I have to remove the battery cables. Seems like all the functions work, ie, radio, windows, mirrors, lights, etc. Just can't get past the no start condition. Suspect that the BCM is causing this. Appreciate if someone can anyone lend some insight before I have it towed to the dealer? One more thing, this all started happening after there was a heavy snowfall.

I read in Consumer Reports where there's a wiring harness under the driver seat? that can cause all sorts of electrical issues when wet/corroded. I've owned an '08 for almost 2 months now but with no shop manuals available (except through the dealership perhaps), I haven't had time to learn more about this interesting van yet...

Sorry I can't think of more on this van right now...
