Question vacuum noise

I was told to disconnect the negative on the battery and it worked for a couple of kilometers then the fan came back on again. I was told it could be the temperature sensor, I'm wondering if I disconnect the fan that I would be able to drive it around?

What vacuum noise are you talking about ? What fan comes back on ?
You start disconnecting the battery and you'll end up with the heater blowing cold air ...

well when I start my van it makes a vacuum noise within thirty seconds and the display reads (your A/C is turned off to protect your engine).

that sounds like one of the a/c lines or connections split/cracked/broke.

I'm picking up a temperature sensor next wednesday. For the noisy fan which makes a vacuum noise 10 seconds after I start the van, I unplug the fan connecter but I'm wondering if thats safe for the engine while driving. The display reads (your A/C is turned off to protect your engine) when the fan noise comes on. I recently disconnected the negative on the battery post to reset the computer panel or electronics, It ran without the noise and warning display for about 11 minutes and came back on again. I was told the temperature sensor but if anyone knows different, I can sure use the advice thanks!
