2005 Silverado Z71, came out the other day and the XM option was gone from the radio. I have tried to reset by disconnecting the battery and this was no help. I also noticed that OnStar isnt working. Anyone have any helpful information what to start checking?

 

I would think the XM radio and the on star deal is a pay as you go thing, but hay what do I know I still use my crank handle to put the window up or down, LOL

 

onstar and xm radio may use vehicle cellular interface module and the cellular antenna. if there is a fault...check for codes in the vcim module
