Is there anyway to bypass the auxiliary water pump on this vehicle one of the hose connectors broke off the water pump and I can't find that top piece and I sure don't want to pay the price they want for a new water pump

I have never seen two water pumps before. What is the aux one for?
Can't you just go to the hardware store and just buy a piece of PVC pipe and hose clamp it all together? I can't say if bypassing a pump is going to damage your engine though.
