2005 speedometer

Default 2005 speedometer

hey all first time poster.....have an 05' and my speedometer some times get "stuck" at a speed and after shut off and restart it usually resets...this time it actually made its way up to 110mph while we were doin like 60......any clues here?

I have 2 idea's

1. The gauge cluster needs to be replaced

or

2. Wait there is no two, unless the venture calculates the speed on the speedo by wire, which it shouldn't because the connections on the back of the cluster are electric

well it fixed it self....but seems intermittent.....so its on again off again

no....im sure i should.....sometimes it doesnt act up for weeks so we forget...
