I just had to replace my garage door openers. My old garage door openers were programmed to be opened by pressing the overhead console button in my van. How do I program the new garage door openers to be opened by the overhead console button. I can't recall how I did this 9 years ago!

 

Does not the opener rest in the overhead console?

 

WE have the old style openers on our garage doors so the Tahoe wouldn't work with it.
If you read the instructions on the garage door part it can be programmed in spite
of what the salesperson tells you it can't.
Our salesman came home with us to pick up a car we were using.

When asked, he said it couldn't be done.
Well this little old guy read those instructions a couple of times, and guess what?
It works! Just a different way to program is all.

Going online is the best way to figure out which solution you would want to have as many companies include its features as well. If you are handy with household tools and a ladder then consider yourself set. And try to search for it .
