Default hard to believe on a venture!!!

the other day I had some paint delivered from a company for our business. It was a delivered with a venture 2003. The guy had over 1000 pounds of paints in 5 gallons containers. I asked the guy how much millage he had on his van. This guy delivers in city and his driving is almost all city driving. He said that his van has 535,000 kilometers and he had hardly no problems with it. For the transmission he change the oil every 60,000 miles and never touched the transmission. Of course the rockers were all rusted but beside that it was in good condition. I wonder if my 2009 Uplander will last this millage! This is a true story. Who can beat this?

you know i can say any thing budy , you don't have to believe me specially on my venture , it will not last for that kind of mileage for sure , if i don't know you i don't believe you , but uplander engines last more than 250km with good condition , but tranny will go out aroung 180km which is not bad at all for chevy

mos19790: When I saw this guy delivering an order of paint I could not believe him myself because I had 2003 impala that ended up with tons of problems from pass lock troubles to transmission nightmares. In 2009 I got rid of this trouble car to buy a 2009 uplander that I love with not a single mechanical problem except some body warranty claims like the chevy emblem, the 3rd back stop light and the premiun seats that were cracking on the side. My impala was treated meticulusly with regular oil changes ( motor and transmission ) and when it reached 100.005 miles that was it for this car. Got rid of it before the dexcool problems started to show up. But I can tell you that the venture millage was real because I saw it from my own eyes and his story that he had hardly no problems I could not comfirm it. The body was quite in good shape except that his rocker panels were rusted right through

maybe that's right , i hope you have a good luck with your uplander , i've seen a lot of chevy vans at our company because we do a handicap transportation and all we have is chevy's , so as for venture i've came across most of problems as i have 450km but 4 engine and 4th tranny , but for uplander its better than venture and smoother ride too , and good electronic throttle , good luck to you man

the uplander has a special heavy duty option rear spring package that is made to handle loads like 1000lbs of paint or fat mother-inlaws.
