loud popping noise when shifting from park
I have a 2002 chevy venture and when i shift from park to any gear it makes a loud popping noise what could it be ive checked transmission fluid and its full

Full but how is the quality of the fluid?
I assume the pop is coming from under the hood and not the column/shift lever...is there someone who can help you pinpoint the location it is coming from and maybe record it so you can post the actual sound?
Does it make the sound every time regardless of how it is parked (uphill, flat, downhill)? Does it go back into Park normally?
