Default Major Fix - Driver Side Window

OK, So I work up this morning determined to figure out how to fix my window switch without having to buy a new one.

And here's what I came up with, thanks to 04Venture.

The Switches for the Driver Side are Dark Blue
And the switch for the Passenger side are Light blue.

So here's what I did, I extended the wires up past the housing and hooked them up, then marked where the Light blue came from the switch and where the Dark Blue came from the Motor, Hooked the two up and guess what, the window moved up and stayed, but would not role down, so that is why you see 4 wires, is so that you can put everything back together, and then just match the light blue(From Switch) with the dark blue (From Motor) and the window will role up.

Now this will only work if your switch is bad and won't role up not if the motor is bad.

Default Update

Ok, so I had a little problems with it last night again so here's what I did, I just switched the wires (because mine will still role down)

And here's what I got
Driver side switch (Down button) - (Driver side will role down)
Driver side switch (Up Button) - (Does nothing)
Passenger side (Down button) - (Passenger side will role down)
Passenger side (Up Button) - (Driver side will role up)

Now I just have to reach over and role it up from the passenger side and I'm set. WOHO

Default Driver's power window went down not up

Worked for me: hotwired (got a spare piece of wire) the dark brown to the light blue wire (right in to the back end of the connector where the wires go in, connector still attached to the switch). I had tried light blue to dark blue - I smell smoke! Surprised I didn't blow the fuse. Now I go buy a new switch.

That makes no sense, you said it worked but smelled smoke and need to buy a new switch, did you try fixing it and it didn't work or what.

Basically all you need to do is swap the Light Blue, and Dark blue wires, your driver side will role down with the driver side switch, but role up with the passenger side switch.
