Rear wheel shims

Rear wheel shims
Anyone ever put them on? Shop where I get my alignment done says I need them on right-rear, but they want $80 to put them on (plus I had to buy the shim). Looks fairly simple, but I want to make sure I set the shim right before I put it on.
